Additionally onsite participants can also view the 42 artworks in the Art Gallery onsite on the 1st floor, near the ESCMID World Village.
ATMs
In the lobby of the AC Bella Sky hotel you can find an ATM to be able to withdraw Danish Crowns and Euros.
B
Badges
All participants and exhibitors are required to wear their badges throughout the congress. Access to the scientific sessions will only be possible with your personal name badge. We charge EUR 100 for replacement of a lost badge. For any name change, we charge a fee of EUR 50.
Bank/ATM
Banks are open to the public public between 8:00 – 10:00 AM and 15:30 – 17:30 PM. Visa and Mastercard are the most common accepted cards. American express and Diner’s Club are also accepted although not as common. Take care in regards to the cards you use, as those without a chip and only contain a magnetic strip, are less likely to be accepted.

Cameras and Recordings
Electronic recording or excessive photography of presentation slides is prohibited in all lecture halls during all sessions.
Catering
The registration to the congress does not include catering. There will be stalls available in the Exhibition area that have different types of cuisine for purchase. They accept Euros, but only Euro Notes, Euro Coins wlil not be accepted. Change will return always as DKK. It is also possible to pay with credit cards at the stalls, including AMEX.
Water Stations will be available throughout the Venue area
Those with a badge are invited to the Opening Ceremony. The Opening ceremony is afterwards followed by a catered reception.
Certificates
Certificates of attendance (not including CME credits) are available from Monday morning, April 17th 2023. They can be printed at the print stations in the registration area, using the barcode on your name badge. CME Certificates will be emailed to participants following the congress.
Charging Station
A sponsored charging station for mobile phones can be found next to the exhibition help desk. all over the venue there are various plugs and working areas where you can load your batteries.
Child Care
Children are not allowed inside the venue grounds. For childcare services, please contact: info[at]escmid.org
Climate
April is a great month to visit Copenhagen if you love spring weather and do not like tourist crowds. However, its weather can be a little unpredictable. A warm spring with up to 20 °C is entirely possible as is a sudden cold snap. An advantage of visiting in April is that it’s relatively dry with only about 30 mm of rainfall in the month. Though spring usually brings bright sunlight and cloudless skies with four to six hours of sunshine per day from March to May. With mild temperatures and reasonable hotel prices, April in Copenhagen is indeed very pleasant.

Cloakroom / Luggage Storage
A cloakroom will be available in the registration area of the venue. Luggage is not allowed in the venue aside from the registration area, but there will be a luggage tent outside behind the venue.

Congress Registration
Upon receipt of the correct registration fee, each participant has received a confirmation of registration by email. Please bring your registration confirmation with the barcode and go directly to the badge self-print stations in the registration area of the congress centre.
Delegates who are booked through a group registration will receive the information on how their badge and congress material will be distributed through their group coordinator.
For a new congress registration please follow the signs to “New Registration” within the registration area. You may pay by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Amex). Cash payments in Euro will only be accepted at the secretariat.

COVID-19 Testing
There will not be a COVID-19 test centre onsite at the congress. However, if you are in need of a COVID-19 Test, there is a test centre in the Copenhagen Airport. You can find more information through the Copenhagen Airport website here.
Currency
The official currency used in Denmark is the Danish Crown (DKK usually in stores as Kr). Although being part of the EU, the use of the EURO is not generally accepted in Denmark. However you can pay with Euros in department stores, tourist shops and taxis. For Taxis the driver should be asked before getting in if they accept euros. Cash is not needed at all since credit cards are widely accepted even in taxis. But be aware that a fee will apply commonly for foreign credit cards.

Electricity Supply
In Denmark, power plugs and sockets are of type E and K and follow the European standard of 230V and 50Hz. It is Recommended for attendees from the USA, Canada and a large part of South America that have a 100-127V system, to include a power plug adapter/ voltage converter.
Emergency
In the event of an emergency, dialling 112 from any phone will connect you to the Emergency Services. The dispatch center redirects the call accordingly for the type of emergency to the appropriate emergency services.
ESCMID Booth
During the Congress, the ESCMID staff will welcome you at our ESCMID booth in the ESCMID World, the location will be disclosed at a later date.
Exhibition
The Exhibition is located on the ground floor after registration. Going through the ESCMID World village you can easily reach the Exhibition.

The congress organisers accept no liability for any injuries sustained, or any property loss or damage during, or as a result of, the congress. Please ensure that your own insurance is valid.

Lost and found
Items that are found at the event will be collected by the ECCMID staff and will be kept at the Registrations Service Desk. Should you lose or find any personal belongings, we kindly ask you to visit this desk to report or collect the items.
Lactation Room
A dedicated lactation room will be available seperate to the venue. For more information on the lactation room you can contact us here info[at]escmid.org or visit the onsite ESCMID booth for more information. The hostesses will also be able to guide you towards the lactation room in Room 140, Bella Sky Tower 1.

Meeting Boxes
Meeting boxes will be available for everyone in the exhibition hall. They are located close to the Poster area and require prior reservation. Reservations can only be done onsite in person.

Parking
The Closest carpark is right outside of the Bella Center. 1hr is 25 DKK (3€) and 24hr parking is 150DKK (20€).
Prayer Room
The Prayer Room is located in the Registration area of the Congress.
Press Centre
Press registration is complimentary and includes all privileges of regular registration. Members of the press who qualify for press registration and who have been pre-registered may contact the onsite registration at the congress venue to get their press badge.
Only journalists or reporters, writers or editors with credentials from a journal, newspaper, magazine, radio or TV station, wire service, or other news organization can be accredited.
Freelancers must present proof from a news organization that assigned them to cover the meeting. Freelancers wishing to cover ECCMID on a speculative basis are asked to request accreditation in writing using their letterhead.
Please note that delays may occur for journalists on-site that have not pre-registered.

Printing Services
There is no onsite printer. This means that there will not be any onsite printing available for posters or documents.
Photographs
The official ECCMID photographers and video crew will be on site during the whole event and you may be filmed or photographed by the organiser or a representative thereof. ECCMID or its associates reserve the right to use your image for promotional purposes on its website, print media or in other advertising on other unlimited channels. By attending the ECCMID 2023, you consent and agree to this.
Public Transportation
All Full ECCMID 2023 Registrants (excluding ECCMID Day passes and ECCMID Exhibition) will receive a public transportation card in which they can travel during the Congress days. The card allows you to travel using the metro. Each registrant will receive an email with a link and their personal voucher code to redeem their travel card online.
Publication – ESCMID eLibrary
All accepted abstracts, electronic versions of posters as well as presentations are published in the ESCMID eLibrary after the congress. There is no printed abstract book or CD available. You can already find previous year’s material in the eLibrary now.

Speaker ready room
On-site speakers can provide us with their presentations in the speaker ready room, which is located on the 1st Floor of the Congress Venue. the speakers will be required to provide their presentations on a USB stick (no later than three hours prior to the start of the session). Technicians will be available in the room at the following times:

The ESCMID Study Groups will all host open meetings during ECCMID that any participant can join and learn about the activities of the group. Membership is free for all ESCMID members and you can see the schedule of meetings in the programme live sync and an overview in pdf here.

Travel Grants
ESCMID provides 125 ECCMID Travel Grants for young scientists who submitted an abstract. Further details and criteria can be found on the ESCMID website.
Transport
Airport - Bella Center: To reach the Venue from the Airport, take the Ungerground Train towards Ørestad. From Ørestad then switch onto the Metro aboveground towards the Bella Center.
City centre – Bella Center: The congress venue is located approximately 10 minutes by public transport from the Copenhagen city centre. The Bella Center having its own station makes the travel between the City centre and the Venue very easy.

Water Stations
During the congress there will be free water stations available! These stations are located throughout the venue and lets you refill your bottles. It is encouraged to keep your water bottles around to refill them.
You will receive a map with the positions of these available water bottles within the venue.
